Install in three steps

  1. 1

Open FocusLock-0.4.0-….msi from your browser's downloads or your Downloads folder.

  2. 2

    If Windows asks, allow it

Early access builds aren't code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Select More info, then Run anyway.

What's new in 0.4.0

Released 5 October 2026

FocusLock for every learning ecosystem, one browser, a few tabs.

New

  • Every ecosystem: AWS (console, Workshop Studio, tutorials, samples), Google Cloud (console, Cloud Shell, Codelabs), GitHub Codespaces and Gitpod, plus Snowflake, MongoDB, Red Hat, and Elastic academies, alongside Microsoft. Setup now asks where your sessions should start.
  • One study browser at a time: choose Edge, Chrome, Perplexity Comet, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, or Firefox (experimental) under Settings, then Study browser and tabs. Other browsers, and browser windows from before the session, wait until you're done.
  • Tab limit: 3 tabs by default (2 to 10, or off). An extra tab shows a calm page: save its link to your Later List and close it, or open it once you've closed another tab.
